ARTMUC

At ARTMUC, we will present works by Fin DAC, Guy Denning, Alexis Stephens, and SKIO from May 1 to 3.
For this year’s edition of ARTMUC, we are presenting a selection of figurative positions featuring works by Fin DAC, SKIO, Alexis Stephens, and Guy Denning.
At the center of the presentation is the human figure—not as a classical representation, but as a surface of projection for perception, transformation, and inner states. The works move between Urban Art, contemporary figuration, and painterly gesture, exploring how identity is constructed within the tension between body, space, and image.
The four artistic positions open up distinct approaches to figuration: Fin DAC develops a highly aesthetic and precise visual language in which cultural references and traditions condense into a unique form of identity. At the center are strong, self-assured female figures that radiate presence and attitude.
SKIO develops his works through a purely analog painting process, yet the resulting imagery evokes the logic of digital and AI-based image production. Shaped by a reduced, Bauhaus-inspired formal language, his compositions carry an almost otherworldly quality—reflecting a perception increasingly shaped by hybrid realities.
In the works of Alexis Stephens, the body itself becomes a vehicle for movement, energy, and decision: gestures appear as frozen moments within a dynamic process in which control and impulse coexist. Guy Denning, by contrast, reduces the figure to a raw and immediate presence—his works explore the human condition with a directness that oscillates between vulnerability and resistance.
