FinDAC
For the Irish artist FinDAC Urban Art is all about crossing boundaries and accepted, traditional visual language. He perfected an atypical paint/stencil style he called “Urban Aesthetics”, which is, basically, a modern-day take on a 19th century art movement. FinDAC has been influenced ranging from graphic novels to Francis Bacon/Aubrey Beardsley.
The self-taught and non-conformist artist earned an enviable place in the art community and became a regular figure in high end gallery shows.
His motives are mostly Asian women who are contrasted in fine black and white illustrations with bold colours. Typical for his work is a great colour splash directly across the eyes of his models.
Currently he travels constantly from one project to the next.
