As a small intermezzo, we are showing a photo exhibition by the American photographer Sheila Rock, who is here in Düsseldorf as part of the ElectriCity Conference. She is particularly known for her portraits of musicians such as Debbie Harry (Blondie), The Clash, Visage, Billy Idol and others. The exhibition can be seen from 24 October – 2 November.

Sheila Rock was born in the USA and has lived in London since 1970. Her career as a photographer began in 1980 with THE FACE magazine. Sheila exhibits regularly in London and internationally. Her portrait work covers a wide range of entertainment and music stars. Her work has appeared in publications from Vogue to The Sunday Times. Some of her work can also be found in the permanent collection of London’s National Portrait Gallery. Sheila Rock is the wife of Mick Rock, who is known for his photos of bands such as Queen, David Bowie, Lou Reed and Pink Floyd.
