Since 2007, Galerie Pretty Portal has been showing Contemporary Art and Urban Art.
Street artists appropriate public
space without asking to present their ideas and concepts. Inspired by their
urban environment, they create art that has recently become known worldwide as
"Urban Art".
Galerie Pretty Portal offers
"Urban Art" artists a space to take their urban creations out of their
fleeting existence and give them a "safe" place for new
paths.
Gallerist and curator Klaus Rosskothen seeks
to meet artists whose works have the power to exist in isolation from
their original urban environment. Pretty Portal sees itself as a meta-level between street and "white cube" on which these
artists can show their works to the public.
Galerie Pretty Portal shows paintings, drawings, collages, photographs and sculptures.
