Im Oktober zeigt Pretty Portal Arbeiten des Urban Art K\u00fcnstlers Laguna. Der geb\u00fcrtige Spanier ist einer der hervorstechenden Protagonisten der spanischen Urban Art Szene. Seine Werke, die er im \u00f6ffentlichen Raum auf riesigen H\u00e4userfassaden erschafft, findet man in vielen St\u00e4dten Spaniens, Brasiliens und den USA. Letztes Jahr hat Laguna auf dem Cityleaks Festival in K\u00f6ln zum ersten Mal in Deutschland seine Spuren hinterlassen.<\/p>\n

Im Pretty Portal zeigt Laguna neben neuen Werken auch Bilder aus den letzten Jahren, die einen Einblick in den Prozess seiner k\u00fcnstlerischen Entwicklung erm\u00f6glichen.<\/p>\n

In seinen Werken setzt sich Laguna mit den unterschiedlichen Vorstellungen auseinander, die Menschen von sich und von anderen haben. \u201eEs gibt eine gro\u00dfe Diskrepanz zwischen dem was wir von uns denken, was andere von uns denken und und was andere glauben, was wir von uns selbst denken\u201c, sagt Laguna. Aus diesen abweichenden Positionen ergeben sich in Beziehungen zwischen Menschen Verschiebungen in der Wirklichkeit. Dazu kommen Tr\u00e4ume, surreale Momente, welche den ansonsten teilweise gleichf\u00f6rmigen Alltag aufbrechen und spannend machen. \u201eDiese Momente sind die sch\u00f6nsten Momente. Sie zaubern uns ein L\u00e4cheln auf das Gesicht.\u201c<\/p>\n

Seine Werke vermischen Konkretes mit Abstraktem. Lagunas Kunst ist eigensinnig, traumhaft und bricht gewohnte Sichtweisen auf. Innenwelt und Au\u00dfenwelt treffen in seinen Arbeiten aufeinander und verschmelzen in einer verspielten Vielf\u00e4ltigkeit in Formen und Farben zu Lagunas surrealer Bildwelt. Laguna: “it’s not what we see but what we perceive, or vice versa … or not”
\nSein Arbeiten wurden in den letzten Jahren von Juxtapoze, Unurth, Wooster Collective und anderen Kunstmagazinen gefeatured.<\/p>\n
